The SD NASA Space Grant seeks to provide a research experience for high school STEM teachers (RET). The SD Space Grant will provide up to $8,000 fellowships for each for as many as 4 teachers to participate in an 8-week (minimum) research experience at a South Dakota Space Grant Consortium affiliated institution this summer (2017). The high school teachers are the applicants, and they are responsible for making connections and arrangements. If you have a research project that might be a good fit for the program please contact Nathan Lukkes at the SD BOR office or Dr. Peggy Norris at the Sanford Underground Lab who can help you connect with a teacher.
The Summer 2017 RET application and instructions are posted on the South Dakota Space Grant Consortium website. Applications are being accepted and will continue to be accepted through January 20, 2017.
