PIERRE, S.D. – Gov. Mike Rounds (center) was recognized for his strong support of research initiatives in the public university system Feb. 11 during the Student Research Poster Session in the state Capitol Rotunda. Gov. Rounds has been a driving force to increase the level of university research and graduate education under way in South Dakota through his 2010 Initiative. Jack Warner (left), CEO and executive director for the South Dakota Board of Regents, and Gary Johnson, the system’s vice president for research, thanked the governor for his continuing support.
