Join Elevate Rapid City at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, for lunch and a discussion with Joseph Wright, South Dakota Mines Associate Vice President for Research & Economic Development, on the country’s largest source of early stage funding – the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

Also known as America’s Seed Fund, the SBIR/STTR programs provide over $4 billion in funding to small businesses each year in a wide variety of technology areas.

Joseph Wright will provide insights into these programs with his vast experience as a technology transfer professional with a J.D. focused on intellectual property and contracts from University of Kansas School of Law.
