SBIR STTR logo

The South Dakota Small Business Development Center is sponsoring an SBIR Proposal Prep Workshop from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. MDT on Tuesday, Oct. 26, in celebration of the Grand Opening of the Ascent Innovation Campus (18 East Main St.) in Rapid City.

Register today for this free workshop.

This full-day workshop will cover the difference between SBIR/STTR Granting agencies and Contracting agencies. We’ll review the 11 SBIR/STTR participating agencies, their mission and what technologies they will fund and help determine the best fit for you. Since DoD is a procuring agency, companies have the unique opportunity to solve problems identified by the SBIR solicitations and ultimately sell products to the Defense Department. In order to become an eventual supplier to DoD, you need to understand how they do business and their unique language and acronyms. This webinar will provide a brief look at how SBIR/STTR projects fit into the DoD’s procurement process, and how you can “speak their language” to improve your chances of winning Phase I and Phase II contract awards.

Then we’ll review the DOD SBIR/STTR solicitation in detail. Our expert will take you through DoD’s rules and inform you not only of the steps to preparing a DoD proposal, but how to make each section succinct and compelling. Includes many practical tips and advice on pitfalls to avoid.
