SD EPSCoR Impacts for the Week of November 15, 2018:

  • The Department of Energy has released a new DOE EPSCoR Solicitation for Implementation Grants. Applications are sought for research in key science and technology areas related to DOE missions. The FOA contains a listing of areas of either specific interest or disinterest. Please review this list carefully when considering preparation of a potential application. They expect to fund up to 10 awards with the typical award size of $2,000,000 to 3,000,000 for two years. A pre-application is required and is due December 20, 2018. Deadline for full proposals is March 27, 2019.More

  • Don’t forget to register for our NSF CAREER Proposal Development Workshop that will be held Nov. 28 in Sioux Falls at Sanford Research. The goal of the SD EPSCoR CAREER proposal development program is to foster an increase in proposal submissions by eligible faculty from all South Dakota institutions of higher education. The NSF CAREER Program offers awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the ideal of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, a commitment to educational excellence, and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations.
