Undergrad Research Symposium Poster Submission Deadline (7/23)

This year’s Undergraduate Research Symposium will once again bring together students involved in SD EPSCoR, the South Dakota Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network (SD BRIN) and the other Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs in South Dakota. This annual event provides students the experience of participating in a real scientific meeting that includes a poster session, professional development and numerous opportunities for networking. The symposium also promotes South Dakota’s graduate programs and STEM employment opportunities.

Abstracts may be submitted by students when they register and also be edited anytime up until July 23^rd, 2019. Students should save the registration ID when they register so they can access and edit their abstracts as necessary until the deadline.

July 29^th STEM Industry Tours/Networking Mixer

• As a part of this year’s symposium students will have the opportunity to participate in a STEM Industry tour the day before the symposium. Tentatively, tours have been scheduled for Avera, Docutap, EROS, POET, Raven and Sanford Research.
• All registrants are also strongly encouraged to attend a social networking mixer on the 29^th. SD EPSCoR and SD BRIN are partnering with South Dakota Biotech and Sioux Falls Development Foundation to bring together companies in the area to meet their next workforce! Join us at the beautiful Sanford House on July 29th from 5:00-6:30 pm for cold drinks, light appetizers, and warm conversation. Don’t miss this tremendous opportunity!
