Patents were recently awarded to faculty at SDSU, USD and SDSMT who utilized the SBIR/STTR programs to further develop academic discovers. Attend the 2016 South Dakota SBIR Road Tour to find out how to take your discoveries to the world.
SD EPSCoR has designated this event a Professional Development activity for faculty, post-docs and graduate students and will cover registration fees.
2016 SBIR Road Tour will bring representatives from 15 federal agencies to Sioux Falls to provide overviews of their SBIR & STTR programs and to meet 1-on-1 with interested inventors and tech-based companies. SBIR and STTR programs award over $2.5 billion annually through 5,500 awards to fund research and development (R&D) toward commercialization.
This event allows attendees to meet 1-on-1 with Program Managers to gain insights on how to successfully compete for funding. Together, the participating federal agencies cover a broad scope of research. Determine if your discoveries have a home within SBIR/STTR. Federal Agencies attending include:
