Engineers Day at the Discovery Center

Join the Discovery Center for a day all about being an engineer!

In collaboration with the South Dakota Engineering Society, SD Discovery Center celebrates the contributions and careers from engineers. This free day at the SD Discovery Center in Pierre offers the chance to speak with engineers about their jobs and join in on fun activities.

This event is for all ages.

About the South Dakota Discovery Center

The South Dakota Discovery Center has been empowering local people through hands-on scientific experiences for the last 30 years. The center was founded in 1989 and is located in the historic Pierre Power Plant. Programs hosted at the center center on scientific exploration for all-ages. Its mission has grown: first introducing families, especially children, to science through exhibits, then including instruction for educators and increased programing for creativity and critical thinking in all ages.
