A convergence of technology, science, data, and innovation defines the direction of biotech in South Dakota today. The SD Biotech 2023 Summit & Annual Meeting highlighted today’s challenges within the biotech industry and what that means for the future. Thought leaders gathered in panels and networking sessions to explore multifaceted topics from agriculture to AI, and many more.

Formed in 2006, South Dakota Biotech serves a membership that includes business, universities, service providers and state-wide economic development entities to expand the bioscience industry. SD EPSCoR is a proud member of SD Biotech and a silver sponsor of the 2023 Summit.

Faculty/staff members from several universities, students, business members, economic development agencies, and government official representation (U.S. Senator Mike Rounds – the 31st governor of South Dakota; served from 2003 – 2011) attended this insightful gathering on Thursday, October 12.
