SD BRIN Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Convocation

SD BRIN (Biomedical Research Infrastructure Network) will host its Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Convocation Aug. 1-4.

Format

Undergraduate researchers are expected to submit a poster and participate in a panel Q & A Zoom discussion. The posters will be open for viewing Aug. 1-2 and discussion will take place Aug. 3-4.

Important Dates

• Wednesday, July 30: Undergraduate research posters due
• Sunday and Monday, Aug. 1-2: Undergraduate research poster viewing
• Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 3-4, 2021: Zoom discussions

Information from previous event

Last year, students and faculty were required to view and evaluate at least five video poster presentations, three of which were assigned, and two of which were the viewer’s choice. The convocation event consisted of panel question-and-answer discussions with the presenters grouped as panels based on research topics. A panel schedule was sent out prior to the event. Students and faculty attended the panels for their assigned posters, and could attend any other panels they chose.
