Event Outline:

Participants: E-Core & E-Rise pending & preparing, faculty, Track 2, and other RFP.


  • Two short readings (TBA)
  • Bring a solicitation that includes a team element to the workshop

Workshop: March 14 – Building Team Science

  • Introduction to collaborative research development
  • Conditions for initiation and developing effective research teams
  • Developing trust across large teams
  • Developing a common cognitive model of and a shared understanding of collaborative research projects
  • Two central events for early success: collaboration planning and conceptual mapping
  • Putting team science in operation and building a team from the ground up
  • Incorporating team science into your next proposal – resources and activities

Post-Workshop: March 15 – Team Planning Implementation

  • Rooms provided for self-directed research team discussions and planning.
