The recently formed Computer Science Teachers Association of South Dakota (CSTA-South Dakota) invites you to their free Kickoff Social and first annual meeting on Sunday, April 3.
To celebrate their first year, the
CSTA-South Dakota Board would like to invite all Computer Science advocates to join them on
Sunday, April 3, at
5:30 p.m. CDT at the
Blarney Stone (333 S Phillips Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104).
The
meet & greet social will include their annual meeting, professional development, networking, food, and door prizes! This will be in conjunction with the Technology in Education (TIE) Conference that begins on Monday, April 4.
Schedule of Events
- 5:30 – 6:00 pm — Happy Hour
- 6:00 – 6:30 pm — Annual Meeting /Announcements
- 6:30 – 7:00 pm — Guest Speaker, Dustin Stage, OmniTech
- 7:00 – 9:00 pm — Social (including food and drinks)

The newly established state chapter comes under the well-established national CSTA association. The mission of CSTA-South Dakota is to promote the discipline of Computer Science in K-16 classrooms, advocate for statewide standards and inclusion of Computer Science in all SD schools, provide professional development to enhance the quality of Computer Science education, and create community partnerships that support the extension and growth of Computer Science.
