Governor’s Giant Vision Info Session

Businesses and entrepreneurs in South Dakota are invited to attend an informational session from 3-5 p.m. CST Wednesday, Nov. 18, with members of the Governor’s Giant Vision (GGV) planning committee. The SD Governor’s Office of Economic Development hosts the Giant Vision Business Plan Competition each year to encourage those with innovative ideas to build their dreams in South Dakota.

Speakers will include SD Chamber of Commerce President, David Owen, and Vice President of Program Services, Mary Anne Boyd, and SD EPSCoR Director and Giant Vision judge, Mel Ustad.

2021 Competition Date

Due to the uncertainties of COVID-19, the date for the Giant Vision Competition has tentatively been set for Tuesday, April 27, at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn in Rapid City.

• The application deadline for the Student Competition is Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, 11:55 p.m. CST.
• The application deadline for the Business Competition is Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, 11:55 p.m. CST.
