Cyber Security for Small Businesses and Startups

Join the US Small Business Administration, Startup Sioux Falls and GROW South Dakota for a FREE, two-hour virtual workshop with Dr. Ashley Podhradsky, DSU VP of Research & Economic Development – from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. CST (9 -11 a.m. MST) on Thursday, Jan. 26.

Podhradsky will address:

• the importance of understanding the cybersecurity risks that your small business faces,
• topics of security assessments and training for your staff,
• how you gain cyber intelligence by monitoring activity affecting your business, and
• how to work with your IT professionals to put in systems to defend against identified risks.

She will introduce a new program funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration to help small businesses with cybersecurity. She is leading a comprehensive cybersecurity program for small businesses in South Dakota, including cybersecurity assessments, security awareness training, cyber threat intelligence and remediation activation, which is funded by the Small Business Administration.
