Fisher Science Education Partnership

Posted on: March 2, 2016   |   Category: Announcements

SD EPSCoR is pleased to announce a partnership with Fisher Science Education to support STEM education at K-12 school districts in South Dakota.

The partnership with Fisher Science Education provides discounts up to 25 percent available to all South Dakota K-12 schools on purchases of their products and expands existing awards from SD EPSCoR at regional science fairs with an additional $7,400 each year.

SD EPSCoR recognizes teachers’ efforts in both guiding students in their research as well as in the classroom, and these programs are a way to say thank you for all that they are doing to help prepare the next generation of South Dakota’s scientists, engineers and mathematicians. Fisher Science Education is proud to partner with SD EPSCoR and applauds the efforts and continued success of SD EPSCoR.

“Having a partnership with Fisher Science Education plays a key role in SD EPSCoR’s efforts in expanding and supporting South Dakota schools, especially our rural and tribal schools who have limited funding for classroom materials and supplies to further students understanding of STEM,” said Phillip Huebner, SD EPSCoR Director of STEM Partnerships.

The discount is available to all South Dakota K-12 schools on purchases made with Fisher Science Education. In order to take advantage of the discount, the schools will need to have their account set up by contacting Kim Wilk at 630-259-4756.

  • High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair
South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Rapid City
