  • On Monday, 12 of South Dakota’s brightest students presented their research at the 21st annual Student Research Poster Session at the state capitol in Pierre. The event enables state policymakers to witness first-hand the outcomes of an enhanced research culture on our educational system. At the same time, the students are able to learn more about how public policy decisions related to higher education, including support for research, are made. More
  • The North Central Region (NCR) Cyber Training Center (CTC) for Cybersecurity at Dakota State University was created and funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF OAC 1730105) with the goal of creating scalable online cyber training programs to assist with the development of scientific cyberinfrastructure professionals in cybersecurity. The CTC includes three programs: CyberTraining Students, CyberTraining Faculty, and CyberTraining Professionals. The CyberTraining Faculty program is offered to post-docs, research scientists, and faculty researchers and educators from 2-year and 4-year colleges in the North Central Region. The program will offer free online summer courses and includes funds to help participating faculty host workshops on their campuses and develop new cybersecurity courses.
