Statewide AISES Meeting 2016
On February 26, 2016, twenty American Indian students and chapter advisors from five of the state university’s American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) chapters came together as part of SD EPSCoR diversity efforts to strategize ways to increase the retention and graduation of American Indian students. This one day session focused on key obstacles that American Indian students face when they enter college. The group as a whole shared successes that they have had in an effort to put forth a list of recommendations that can be adopted by all South Dakota universities and colleges.
