NSF’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) has published materials from two NSF webinars last week for each of the two new EPSCoR opportunities, E-CORE and E-RISE, respectively.

E-CORE RII and E-RISE RII submissions must be from institutions or organizations in one of the 28 states or territories that meet the EPSCoR eligibility criteria.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the respective program email boxes: EPSCoR-CORE@NSF.gov or EPSCoR-RISE@NSF.gov.

About E-CORE and E-RISE

NSF’s  is pleased to announce two new funding programs that will dynamically develop State-wide research communities and build fundamental research capacity and competitiveness in States that have historically received less research funding from the National Science Foundation. These new investments were crafted from recommendations received from the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering (CEOSE), a 2 Research Study, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s econometric analysis of the program. In particular, these opportunities will increase accessibility to NSF funding for a broad range of institutions found within EPSCoR jurisdictions. In addition, these funding opportunities will help scientific teams conduct state-of-the art research; foster innovative and creative scientific breakthroughs; expand opportunities to people of all racial, ethnic, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds; and sharpen the nation’s competitive edge in science, technology engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
