What We Do
Expanding Research, Education and Innovation in South Dakota
South Dakota EPSCoR oversees the state’s involvement in federal EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) programs and management of the National Science Foundation (NSF) RII Track-1 project “Expanding Research, Education and Innovation in South Dakota.”
SD EPSCoR does this through a collaboration of state and private universities, tribal colleges, state government and industry developing research infrastructure, an educated and skilled workforce in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and an innovative business ecosystem supported by state and federally funded projects.
The following map shows the South Dakota institutions participating in EPSCoR projects. View a table of Track-1 project participants from these institutions.
