Hello! My name is Anne Jo Erdmann and I am the 7-12 Science Teacher from
Eureka School. My science teaching career began 13 years ago, after previous employment in the banking and finance world. While teaching science in Eureka, I have also coached Science Bowl teams, organized and advised the STEAM club members, orchestrated the annual Eureka Smarts and STEAM Challenge Competition, and created and managed the annual Science Fair.

My love of science stems from wanting to know how things worked, or how one thing affected another. One of my goals every year is to improve my student’s understanding of how science affects everyone each and every day. I call myself a communication specialist much of the time, as I believe teachers have the job of improving communication with their students, and their parents, and corroborating communication between the students themselves. Part of being a teacher to me, is taking the science standards and theories, and then translating that text into verbiage students can comprehend and retain.

I am honored to be a part of this awesome experience, and hope that my efforts can assist fellow students in the future.
